Dr. Peter Uhlmann is a psychiatrist and tai chi practitioner living in Powell River, British Columbia, Canada. He has over thirty years experience as a psychiatrist in Canada and overseas and specializes in mental health issues in rural communities.
He has also studied Yang style tai chi since 1970 and is the senior student of Master Wang Hui-Juin of Taiwan, who presently resides in Comox, British Columbia on Vancouver Island. In addition to several articles about tai chi and rural psychiatry, Dr. Uhlmann has written a book, "Flowing the Tai Chi Way", about his tai chi experiences and his discipleship with Master Wang.
Dr. Uhlmann is presently available as a psychiatric consultant to communities in Canada and abroad who desire assistance in improving, streamlining and integrating their delivery of psychiatric and mental health services. He is also marketing "Flowing the Tai Chi Way" and organizing tai chi workshops and classes with Master Wang.
